Passed in exam, UG student failed by arrogance of JU bosses

Jammu, Jan 2: Contradicting the result declared by it in July 2012, the University of Jammu has left an under graduate student in quandary. Deprived student Mohd Rafiq son of Abdul Shakoor who is perusing BA from Government Degree College, Poonch told Early Times that backtracking from re-evaluation result declared on July 27, 2014, the Examination wing of the University of Jammu, is paying no attention to his plea.
"I was declared reappear in one subject in first year, when I gave exam for final year, the result of final year was declared before the result of first year came. In final year, I got reappear in English, accordingly I applied for re-evaluation and secured passing marks" he said.
"I also cleared, reappear subject of first year later-on, but now the JU authorities have refused to issue final year mark-sheet", he narrated, adding that the result was also published in gazette.
He said that instead of mending its error the authorities are harassing him. "Seeking justice, I tried to meet Vice Chancellor, but his staff did not allow me to enter VC Office, even after repeated request", he said. "I am seeking no favours beyond rules", Rafiq said, showing receipt of re-evaluation results and other documents. The of copy marks-sheet of re-evaluation annual 2014, generated from JU's website under roll number 304110303, shows that the candidate has passed the course successfully, but the arrogant authorities of the University are still adamant. Controller Examination, JU Prof. Keshav Sharma did not respond to repeated calls made for comment.
