JAMMU, Jan 2: Finally, the autonomous sports body of J&K State Sports Council has confirmed the senior coaches as Incharge Managers against the available vacancies. The promotions and subsequent adjustments of these individuals resulted into transfers at the manager level.
As per the transfer order No. 718 issued on December 31, 2014 by the Secretary, senior most Manager, Nusrat Gazala, presently at the office of the Sports Officer, Kashmir, has been posted as Manager, Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar.
At Jammu, Ashok Singh has been shifted from his present posting at Mini Stadium, Parade to MA Stadium as Manager. He has also been given the charge of GGM Science College ground.
Manager, MA Stadium, Ravi Singh, who was also holding the charge of Indoor Complex, has been shifted to Indoor Complex and Swimming Pool, MA Stadium on permanent basis.
Two other promoted Grade-II coaches, SP Singh (gymnastics) and Satish Gupta (table tennis) have also been made Incharge Managers. SP Singh has been given the charge of K K Hakhu Stadium, Shastri Nagar ground and under construction stadium at Akhnoor.
Similarly, Satish has been made Incharge Manager Mini Stadium, Parade, Green Field ground, Dushehra ground and Sainik Colony play field.
Sports Council also made two Grade-II coaches as incharge of the stadiums. While basketball coach, Shaktish Chopra has been made coach-cum-incharge of Udhampur Stadium, Baljinder Singh (athletics coach at DCC Kathua) has been given the charge of Bana Singh Stadium, R S Pura.
Junior (selection grade) athletics coach at DDC Kathua, Shamsher Singh has also been made incharge of Kathua Stadium. In another similar order, junior (selection grade) volleyball coach at DDC Rajouri, Bashir Ahmed has been ordered as incharge manager.
