Pak firing: Affected people demand straight attack on Pak | | | Early Times Report
Hiranagar, Jan 3: Frustrated over the ongoing intermittent heavy cross border firing and shelling for last few days, people from Bobiyan and other border village situated at Zero line demanded strict action against Pakistan to get relief from frequent shelling once for all. After heavy Pak shelling and firing that hundreds of people from border villages were forced to move from their homes and hearths to safer places in their respective areas. While interacting to media persons, Ram Krishan, a local informed cross border shelling began nearly 9:30pm yesterday making the people to panic. The firing continued till wee hours of morning and again got resumed at 7:30 am forcing people to migrate to safer places. Thirth Ram, another villager, said people have to live in terror and appealed Union Home Minister to take strict action against Pakistan like 1971 where they lived with peace thereafter. He said they can't leave their homes frequently as this affects their livelihood and the cattle as well. "Majority of populace in border areas are associated with farming and cattle rearing and every time the Pakistan resorts to firing they have to move towards safer areas, he said adding, "we want union government to give befitting reply to Pakistan so that atleast it cannot think of raising head for some years. |
