Gurjar community accuses Cop's high handedness in harassing 'innocents' 1/3/2015 11:33:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 3: Accusing police for its high handedness to harass the innocent, the members of Gujjar community today alleged that playing foul a police constable taking the advantage of the uniform, got seven members of community booked in rape case in Police Station Hiranagar in District Kathua. Addressing a press Conference the Gujjar community leaders today said that the "One constable namely Mouj Din taking the advantage of his position got a fake FIR lodge against seven persons of the community in rape case." Speakers who issued statement from twenty signatories alleged that above said constable heads a notorious gang of four -Faqeer s/o Sakoor Din, Mera Baksh s/o Yousuf, Sadeeq s/o Yousuf and Feroz din s/o Rahim Ali hailing from Mahesha Chack.' This group harasses innocent locals from community, they added. "Based on the false complaint, Hiranagar Police booked seven persons u/s 363,376/34 RPC under FIR No 94/2014, stated the signatories. They further said that though the matter was appraised to the DGP and the administration and the DGP too has directed to the SSP Kathua to reinvestigate the case yet the outcome is awaited.
