Lakshmi Kaul is new PRO of HFB | | | Early Time Report
Jammu, Jan 3 : Lakshmi Kaul has been appointed as the new PRO for the HFB. It is a great honour to be appointed to this incredibly important position. It signals that the Hindu Forum of Britain is truly a representative organ-isation that champions issues of importance to all Hindus she said. According to press release, Lakshmi Kaul said that the role of the PRO was an important one in today's media savvy world and as such it will be my focus to ensure that the HFB utilises this medium as an effective tool for engagement with the whole community'. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and masters' in Human Rights and comes with a wealth of experience including, Member of the Advisory Board at the Nehru Centre, Chief Executive of SPIC MACAY, UK (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth) and the Founder and Executive Member of Kashmiri Pandits Cultural Society (KPCS) in the UK. She is passionate about cultural heritage and preservation of classical and folk arts especially bridging the gap between youth and classical arts. She has also been an active campaigner on the rights and plight of the Kashmiri Hindus. The newly appointed president of the HFB, Truptiben Patel said, 'I am pleased that one of my first duties as President has been to appoint Lakshmi as the PRO. This is an important role that will assist the organisation in its engagement with the wider community. In addition to Lakshmiji brings firsthand knowledge, understanding and experience on Jammu and Kashmir and the plight of Kashmiri Hindus and will therefore also lead on this issue on behalf of the HFB'. |
