Baramulla, Jan 3 : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone today chaired a meeting of eminent and senior citizens at Dak Bungalow Baramulla in which DIG North, SP Baramulla, Joint Director Planning and ACR Baramulla were also present.
According to official spokesperson, various issues pertaining to the growing problems and challenges of the society were discussed in the meeting while focus of the meeting, however, remained upon the problems related to the basic essential facilities available in the Town.
"Besides, growing challenges of drug addiction, alcoholic addiction and other wrongful habits among the young sector were also discussed threadbare in the session, he said adding, "issues like traffic jamming, need for street lights and other things essential for the benefit of the society were also discussed."
On the occasion, the DDC highlighted the importance of these interactive sessions in bridging the gap between the society and the Administration. Concluding his address, the DC Baramulla hoped that such interactive sessions will be common in the near future as well. |
