JAMMU, Jan 4: JKP Sr. XI and Sr. Advocates XI registered win and enters in the next round of ongoing JKP New Year Veteran T20 Cup at Parade Cricket Ground, here today.
The tournament is being organized jointly by Range Police Headquarters and Parade Sports Association and sponsored by Aircel and JKP. The Organizing Committee of the tournament includes Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu, SR Mishra IPS AIG CIV, Hilal Rather MD Simula,Parshotam Sharma DDP, Rakesh Kumar Sales Head ,Aircel, Anand Tripathi, Sunil Sambyal,Asif Gill Joint Secy.CSO, Vijay Saberwal President Parade Sports Org., Anil Mahajan Gen.Secy. Parade Sports Association, David Mattoo, and the Officiating committee includes Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Sadiq Hussain, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda, Nitu Khokher, Vinod Kandyara, Abhijyot Singh ,Yogesh Sharma and Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player & Chief Prosecuting Officer is the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
Earlier, in the first match JKP Sr. XI defeated Aircel XI by 6 wickets .
Batting first, Aircel Clubs scored 150 runs in stipulated 20 overs for loss of 6 wkts, with Anand Tripathi(41), Baldeep Singh (25 ) & Riaz (24) were the main scorers. Naresh took 2 wickets, whereas Rajesh Gill, Kuldeep , Shamsher and Jagpal Sharma shared 1 wickets each.
JKP Sr. in reply achieved the target in 17 overs for 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets. Madan scored 40 runs, Rajesh Gill made 33 runs and Shishu scored 32 runs. Rajesh Gill was decalared man of the Match.
In the second match, Sr. Advocates XI scripted a comfortable win against Parade Sports Association XI.
Batting First Parade Sports XI made 124 runs in 18 overs for 7 wickets with Ranjeet Bali (40),Rupinder Pal(23) were the main scorers. Sanjay, Ravi and Irfan shared 2 wickets, Guru partap took 1 wicket.
In reply, Sr. Advocates XI achieve the target in 17 overs for the loss of 4 wickets with Surinder (35), Guru Partap scored unbeaten (29) and Ravi Dogra (23) were the main scorers. Sanjay Sharma took 2 wickets, Ranjeet took 1 wicket each. Guru Partap adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Suhail Yusuf, Bunty, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod and Farooq.
The next match will be played on 5th of January as, MAM College V/S Commerce College at 9.30 am, Krishna Club V/S Sarveshwar Club on at 1.00 pm. |
