JAMMU, Jan 4: The speedball team from Jammu and Kashmir secured 1st place in the Junior/senior Nationals at Kanpur, U.P. in the competition whereas 2nd place was bagged by New Delhi and 3rd place by U.P.
In this championship 19 players of J&K participated thus bringing laurels not only to the state but also to their respective Schools. The state team won 15 medals in the respective nationals . The three day long event filled the students mind with great enthusiasm and their splendid performance made the event more mesmerizing. The team was carried forward by Sunny Nanda General secretary of J&K Sports Speedball Association. Navin aggarwal (I.P.S) chief patron of speedball association, S.P. langer (Chief Advisor) Vijay Kumar Sharma (advisor), R.M Tikku (Director Events) to the association were very happy to see players of the estate perform so well and bring laurels to the state and not only this but also bringing the best 1st trophy for overall champion for the state. In this competition around 500 students from 16 units of Speedball association of India participated. The medal winners of the event are as follows, Gold medallists include, Puneet Kumar, Pranay Gupta, Gurmehar Singh Sodhi, Ankit Sharma,Mansi Salathia,Aryan Kangotra,Sahil Janjua whereas Silver medallists were Rhea Tikku, Ashutosh Singh , Mradima Gupta and Bronze medallists include Pranav Sharma, Dixit, Ekjot Kour, Ashishpreet Singh, Amandeep Sharma,Paramjeet and Manika Sharma. |
