RR Bhaderwah celebrates Army Day 1/5/2015 12:05:04 AM Early Times Report Bhaderwah, Jan 4:As a part of ‘Army Day Celebrations’, the Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta), today organised ‘Quiz and Drawing Competition’ at Bhalla and Sitengal in order to commensurate the importance of the day as well as to remember our heroes of war. ‘Army Day’ marks a day to salute the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives to protect our country and people. To mark this grand occasion, Rashtriya Rifles at Bhadarwah had organised few events to involve children, youth and locals. A ‘Quiz Competition’ was also organised for children at Bhalla. A total of 82 students participated in the competition. The response was overwhelming and the event witness active participation by the students. At the end of the competition, prizes were distributed to the winners. The locals attended the function remarked that “such initiatives by the Army are always appreciated and will go a long way towards spreading the message of bravery of our heroes. A ‘Drawing Competition’ was also organised at Sitengal in which total of 68 students participated in the competition. The students participated whole heartedly and surprised one and all with their sense of creativity and talent. On culmination of the competition, prizes were distributed to the winners.
