BMS submits memorandum to Regional Director ESIC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) led by Harbans Choudhary Dy General Secretary Member ESI local Committee and ESI hospital Development Committee met with the Regional Director ESIC (Employee's State Insurance Corporation) and submitted a memorandum highlighting their demands. During the meeting the deputation apprised him that even notification for coverage of new areas has been issued on dtd 20/11/2014 for which Bhartia Mazdoor Sangh was struggling since long for coverage of new areas and finally the ESI has been extended in areas under JDA /JMC w.e.f 1st December 2014 but employers has not implemented so for on their own and demanded that ESI have to take action in this regard. The deputationists demanded vide publicity to be given in the media in this regard and demanded that some left out areas be also covered function of some ESI dispensaries and demanded to install Biometric attendance system in all the ESIC controlled health care centers to end absenteeism and unpunctuality. Regional Director gave patient hearing and assured that he will look in to the points raised by the union and gave instructions to the field staff to visit in the new areas and cover the establishments without any further delay. |
