NPP demands CM from Jammu region | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: Reminding the stand of BJP in the recently held Assembly elections in J&K, Panthers Party (JKNPP) state President Balwant Singh Mankotia also extended support to their (BJP) demand of appointing the Chief Minister from Jammu region otherwise it would be betrayal to people of Jammu. Addressing a press conference here today, Mankotia reminded the recalled that BJP had contested the elections on the core issue of Hindu CM and has managed to win 25 seats from Jammu Province and it would be an irony that in such a political turning point in the history of J&K if BJP would not be able to form the government with the Chief Minister from Jammu region. "it would be a gross betrayal with the mandate of the people of Jammu, he added. He said that Panthers Party support the appointment of the CM from Jammu region if there is any breakthrough in the government formation. Mankotia also appealed to the Governor of J&K to intervene and facilitate the early government formation as the present anarchy is affecting the public at large. He also referred to the plight and miseries of the flood victims who are living in a pathetic condition in the tents without any relief needs immediate intervention of the administration for their timely rehabilitation. Among others who were present in the press conference included District President Sudesh Sharma, Gulshan Kesar and Parduman Singh etc. |
