Bhaderwah, Jan 7: Taking a cue from the Government policies on Empowerment of Women, the Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) started a three weeks "Candle Making Classes for Women here at Chinta, Bhaderwah. According to press release, the course aims to assist the needy women to stand on their own feet and earn a niche for themselves in the society. The drive commenced on January 7with strength of 20 women and one instructor. The project aimed to bring about advancement, development and empowerment among the trainees by way of imparting them a skill which would help them to pursue an independent vocation and in turn make them confident and independent individuals. |
