Jammu, Jan 7: A health awareness programme was organised by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Doda under perception management which attracted an overwhelming response from the general public. According to defence spokesperson, one day awareness programme was held in which the youth were explained about the life style disease, harmful effects of Drug abuse, AIDS and cause of general disease etc. "A lecture was delivered by Regimental Medical Officer, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Doda under the aegis of Dharmund based Counter Insurgency Force, he said adding, "besides, this a total of 153 from nearby villages attended the medical camp which was organized to provide medical facilities to the needy & poor locals of Doda who are deprived of the basic medical facilities. During the medical camp, the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Doda provided all essential administrative support to organize the camp and distributed medicines. The locals while thanking the Army for its good will gesture assured them for their continuous support to further strengthen the bond between the local populace and Army. |
