| Disobeyes chancellor’s order, JSM condemn JU authority | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: Jammu Students Morcha (JSM) today condemns the Jammu University for disobeying the order of varsity Chancellor for one person one posts.
Addressing media persons, JSM state president Vikram Kumar said that the senior professors were calling the shots as they had been holding more than one prized position since long, notwithstanding it was poorly upsetting the normal functioning of the varsity.
"Instead of adhocism and giving additional charge to some favorites, the Vice-Chancellor should go for a viable solution by filling these posts on permanent basis," he said.
Dr Manoj K Dhar has been occupying five key positions including Register, Director; School of Biotechnology comprises three wings, bio-chemistry, microbiology and bio-technology, Co-ordinater of DST special Science Package. Another Professor Rajnikant as Director Ramnagar Campus, holding charge of director ASC, Professor Jai Kumar Sharma holding charge as Special Secretary to VC, Manger Guest House and incharge Legal Cell.
Professor Dhian Singh Bhau holding charge of Director, Physical Education,Yoga and Professor Jasber Singh holding charge of Provost Boys Hostel, Chairman NSS, besides Head FM Centre in campus. Dr. Vibhakar Mansotra HOD Computer Science and Director Centre for IT ES&M, University of Jammu.
Professor Depankar Sen holding charge of Head of Department Economic science, OSD to examination Wing, and Dr Daud Iqbal Baba appointed as coordinator and also holding charge of Director Reasi Campus, and Coordinator, all campuses.
They appeal the Chancellor of University to take cognizance of it and initiate measures to streamline the functioning. Neha Sharma, Rohit Gupta, Surab Gupta, Raman Gupta and Sanjay were also present on the occasion. |
