ADC cautions traders against sale of 'adulterated food items' | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Jan 7: District authorities in a meeting held here today warned the business community of stringent action against those who are selling adulterated food items, milk, and other items. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Rajouri, Salim Malik chaired a meeting with the concerned officials including officials from Food Safety department , Executive Officer of Municipal Committee and president Beopar Mandal and other representatives. During the meeting chairperson said that complaints have been received from the people regarding adulteration in food items, milk and charging of higher prices against fixed prices and asked business community to sell the items on fixed rates otherwise stringent action will be taken against them. He also asked the concerned officials to take action under law against those businessmen who are selling/using polythene bags. ADC Rajouri also directed the concerned officials to check the higher prices, adulterated material, stale vegetables/eatables frequently and take strict action against the law violators. He asked the officials to destroy the adulterated/rotten items including milk on spot and take necessary action under law against the concerned shopkeepers. |
