Relief camps set up for families hit by Pak firing | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Jan 7: District Development Commissioner Mubarak Singh today visited relief camp Chichi Mata and reviewed basic amenities provided to the people of the border areas in the camp. Later, a police team led by SSP Samba Anil Magotra also visited the camps and assured all possible. When contacted SSP said that security cover has been provided to the camps,besides cops, have been deployed to the abandoned villages to keep their belongings safe. Meanwhile, DC convened a meeting of senior officers of civil department to review the relief measures being provided to the people of border areas who were badly affected by the border firing at DC complex Nandni Hills Samba. The DDC impressed upon all the officers present to provide assistance to the affected families and ensure that people are not put to any inconvenience. It was also informed that food and other basic facilities have been provided in these camps by the District Administration under the direct supervision of DDC Samba. It was further informed that Temporary Shelter Camps for affected families due to border firing is being daily monitored by the ADDC Samba in Sub Division Ghagwal, ADC Samba in Sub Division Vijaypur and ACR Samba in Tehsil Samba. |
