2 army jawans held alongwith girls, let off after inquiry: Police | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 7: A day after the news published in some section of media titled "2 Army Jawans held with girls", PRO defense issued statement admitted that that they were travelling with the girls in Tata Sumo when Manjakote police intercepted them and took them police station for questioning ,adding, but after questioning police found them innocent and accordingly set them free . Defence spokesperson said that the two Army Jawans allegedly in question were proceeding on emergency leave in a Tata Sumo vehicle alongwith other civilian co-passengers which included two girls. "Police at Manjakote on enquiring found out that the girls were travelling to Rajouri Market on their own and the same was confirmed to the police by the parents of the girls who came to the concerned Police Station and took the custody of girls after giving their statement, he added. Army spokesperson stated that police enquired into the matter at Manjakote and once they were satisfied that there was no involvement of the Army Jawans with the girls, they were allowed to proceed from there itself. |
