| Gangster 'Sunny Baba' assaulted in District Jail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Jan 7: In a latest development of Amandeep murder case, under trial Gangster Sunny Choudhary alias Sunny Baba allegedly involved in hatching conspiracy to eliminate witnesses in the Amandeep Singh murder case was assaulted by three jail inmates in district Jail Ambphalla here today.
Sources said that after the brawl, Sunny Baba' was brought to the Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for medical examination and treatment by jail staffer namely Subash Chander.
While speaking to media persons, under trial Sunny Baba alleged that he was attacked by three persons in the jail premises at the behest of the former Central Jail Superintendent Saleem Beigh and Nagar Choudhary. He also alleged that though former Jail Superintendent 'Beigh', who is an accused in the same case was bailed out but he always was seen sitting along with the jail authorities on all working days. He also added that not only he (Beigh), but his driver Manjeet Sigh too remained present with him during these meeting.
Worthwhile to mention here that Saleem Beigh is attached with the Headquarters after court granted him bail. As per police case, Nagar Singh alias Nago and Sunny Choudhary alias Sunny Baba along with a Prisons Department Official Surinder Kumar had hatched a conspiracy to eliminate witnesses in Amandeep Singh murder case inside a barrack of Kot Bhalwal jail where they had been provided with all facilities by the former Jail Superintendent Mirza Saleem Beigh. |
