| Romeo Force organises vocational training for girls | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Jan 7: In an effort to promote self employment and make girls capable of either starting their own business or improving their chances of getting employment and live a life of dignity, a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force took up a noble project under for conduct of Fancy cloth bag making course for girls at Thanamandi.
Defence spokesperson said that participants from Area of Responsibility of the unit and far flung areas of Shahdara, Lah, Behrote, Dhok, Kopra and Rajdhani participated enthusiastically.
"The training was inaugurated by Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles Battalian who in his address motivated young minds and asked them to use the training not only to become self reliant and also create employment avenues for others.
"The two week long course was aimed to train basic knowledge of bag making procedure and assist them in self-employment, he added. Sobiya Naz one of the participant said that this course will help her in a big way and assist her in meeting her household expenses.
The locals appreciated the endevour of army which will certainly strengthen the strong bonds between local population and Indian Army. |
