jammu, Jan 7: Criticizing the policies of education department, General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) Jammu on Wednesday held protest demonstration against the department and demanded rolled back the government order no. 469 dated 25-6-2014. Numbers of Teachers assembled at the Press Club under the banner of General Line Teachers Forum and shouted slogans in favour of their demands. Speaking on the occasion, president of forum Neeraj Sharma said the order of government is about to derails the whole education system and is insinuating the upcoming generation especially the educated youth to go for unethical. "If ReTs engagement is to this way then why the government is running the recruitment agencies like PSC, SSRB and others," he alleged. While, general secretary Daleep Kumar Digra said such kind of move of corrupted previous NC and Congress government for selfish motives was setting unhealthy precedence for other departments and youth aspiring for respectable profession like teaching will never opt for this job when the future promotion avenues are favoured for adhoc and temporary employees then the employees entering through SSRB and PSC stiff competition. He raised the issue that early adjustment of newly promoted teachers to masters, filling up of vacant posts of teaching cadre in schools and removal of pay disparities of teachers with equivalent cadre in the state like JE and ASI of JKP.
