Govt identifies land to provide 'safe shelters' to border residents: Dr Singh | | | Sanjay Pathak

Kathua, Jan 7: Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh today announced that the government will provide land at safer place to affected families of cross border firing in district Kathua. "Working on the demand of people to provide 5 marla plot state, the Centre government has identified land near Hiranagar sector" Minister told reporters during his visit to forward border areas in Kahtua district. He added that from last 50 years BJP has supported the demand of border residents and the party immediately addressed the issue after farming government in center. He assured that within the two months the land will be allotted to 5000 families. "During the wars of 1965 and 1971, the security forces has build trench to provide shelter to border residents, he said and added that on similar pattern the government has asked BSF to create trench/bunkers so the people and children take shelter during heaving firing from across the border by Pakistan. During his visit to relief camps established by district administration Dr Singh also sanctioned Rs 5 lakh from his MP Fund as a relief for the border migrants during his tour to Samba and Kathua districts this afternoon.
