Revenue employees hold protest over manhandling of Junior Assistant | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Apr 3: Various organizations of Revenue department today held a strong protest against the alleged manhandling of a Junior Assistant of the department by some people at Kishtwar Airport while he performing the official duties pertaining to management of airlifting of passengers to Marwah, Warwan and Dachhan. As per the details available with Early Times, the trouble started this morning when the staff of the District Office Kishtwar arrived at Helipad Kishtwar wherein one person allegedly argued with the Junior Assistant namely Jaffer Hussain Bhawani over the issue of airlifting of his relative and tried to press the staff for airlifting some of his relatives by over ruling the already prepared list of passengers to be airlifted. After the Junior Assistant refuses to acknowledge the dictate of the said person who hails from Marwah Kishtwar, the person started accusing and abusing him. He also manhandled the official before he was saved by some people and police personnel on duty. Following the incident, the various organization of Revenue Department held two hour long protest at New DC Office Kishtwar and demanded action against the accused. Later the employees approached ADC Kishtwar Kishore Lal Sharma with the plea to provide justice and to take strict action against the guilty person who use unparliamentarily language and life threat to the junior assistant. "We requested the ADC Kishtwar to take necessary action against the person involved in the said episode and direction may be passed to police for booking the said person against relevant section of RPC," said Nisar Ahmed Butt, President Patwar Association Kishtwar who is also the President of Clerical Association Kishtwar. He said that none of them will join its duties until the said person is put behind bars. Several organizations and various employees association have extended support to them saying that in case the administration fails to take any action, they will go on indefinite strike. |
