Mendhar, Apr 3: Police have the duty to safeguard the people and remain neutral during political rallies. Many a times there were gestures which subject the department to embarrassment.
A police man who also happens to be the PSO of the SHO Mendhar lifted a local Congress leader on his shoulders during a political rally. The concerned citizens questioned his action and raised questions on the neutrality of the police force.
The locals have said that no govt employees will allowed to attend the rallies and even there were rules for police officers as if such features was shown public it will give a negative message to the public.
The SSP assured proper action if the said police man was found guilty. |
