| Widow stages protest against BJP MLA, alleges grabbing of her land by his goons | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 3: Nirmala Devi widow of Lal Singh, a resident of village Pathwar, Tehsil Majalta today sat on dharna near Press Club Jammu alongwith her family members against the usurping of her land by Raman Singh son of Swaran Singh, SPO of BJP MLA R.S Pathania.
She alleged that her ancestral land was being illegally usurped by the said Raman Singh and his father in connivance with Revenue officials of the area under the directions of MLA RS Pathania. She said that land records had been forged and fudged by Revenue officials of the area so as to confer undue benefit upon the cronies of the said BJP MLA. She claimed that despite all enquires and reports in her favour including investigations under the supervision of Crime Branch having established her ownership of the said land in view of the same being inherited property, the Revenue officials were harassing and threatening her including Naib Tehsildar Kasturi Lal and NT Sanjeev Singh who was a Girdawar at the time of making illegal entries in the Revenue records. The said Revenue officers are notorious for their irregular, illegal acts and despite numerous other complaints of fraudulent entries against them, no action has been taken against them. They openly claim to enjoy the patronage of BJP MLA, she said.
Nirmala Devi said that her family was being threatened of dispossession of her remaining land also in case she did not shut her mouth. She said that father of SPO of MLA named Swaran Singh has now forged as fake gift deed of the said land in favour of PHE Deptt and sought the appointment of his daughter-in-law Renu Devi who is the wife of Raman Singh, PSO of MLA Ramnagar in lieu of the said land. |
