| BDO suspended for poor performance under SBM | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 3: District administration Rajouri ordered suspension of Block Development Officer Kalakote for underperformance in implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) in Kalakote and for dereliction of duties.
The development came after the said BDO hasn't turned up for meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary to review the progress made under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and the data presented by District Panchayat Officer reflected a dismal performance in Block Kalakote with only 19% geo-tagged Individual Household Latrines.
Pertinently soon after the video conference of Prime Minister of India on March 13, 2018 with Chief Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners of five poor performing states including J&K wherein PM expressed serious concerns for slow progress in implementation of SBM (G) to make the states Open Defecation Free, DDC Rajouri gave explicit directions to all BDOs for completion of allocated targets for construction of IHHL units under SBM. |
