Foreign terrorists do not deserve religious last rites: Kesri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 3: Shiv Sena Hindustan has asked state Govt, not to bury foreign terrorists with religious rites in Kashmir as they are inhumane whose only motive is destruction and killing of innocent people. This was stated by Shiv Sena Hindustan National Vice President, Rajesh Kesri in a press statement issued here. He said that infect their bodies should be thrown away in dustbins to warn others of the fate by targeting humanity for a cause which is against Islam and humanity. Kesri further said that out of a mistaken sense of decency, we have been permitting the local Waqf board to take charge of the slain foreign terrorist's bodies and bury them with religious rites. There is a 'foreign militants' graveyard in Kashmir that is a site of pilgrimage for the separatists. Muslim leaders should refuse to conduct an Islamic funeral for the perpetrators to actually discourage potential terrorists. The attackers who target people declared they were acting in the name of Islam. He described the terrorists' "indefensible actions" as "completely at odds with the lofty teachings of Islam". He added that carrying out such an attack, especially not sparing holy month of Ramadan, demonstrates "how utterly misguided and distant the terrorists are from Islamic faith and the contempt which they hold for its values". He asked the Muslim religious leaders not to perform the traditional Islamic funeral prayer for the perpetrators" and urged others to follow their example. He said denying terrorists funeral rites could be effective in persuading potential perpetrators not to carry out attacks. Those are present Raj Kumar, Sukhbir Singh and Rajeshwer Singh Langeh. |
