Jammu, Jan 23: A low rung cops allegedly playing spoil sport in a branch, meant for curbing anti-social and anti-national activities in Jammu district for monetary benefits.
Sources in the police department said that a low rung cop in the police department has been allegedly spoiling the affairs by misusing his official position. If sources are to be believed, the cop had remained 'karyakhass' in most of the police stations in Jammu district and has established his contacts in each and every corner of the in Jammu district.
"The cop remained 'karyakhass' for Station House Officers (SHOs) of most of the police stations of Jammu district", said sources adding that presently he is given free hand by the seniors owing to which he used to roam in city for trapping youth in drug cases. As the cop has remained 'karyakhass' in police station Gandhi Nagar, Gangyal, Domana etc and has established his links in most of the areas of Jammu district, sources said. "Taking advantage of his links and misusing his official position, the cop in question indulged into illegal activities", said sources in the police department adding that his seniors have also gave him free hand. The said cop has not given any sector for duty and he used to roam in the city area in search of his pray, said sources. Sources maintained that the cops usually trap youngsters in drugs cases and later release them after taking cash on spot. "The cop used to trap the drug addicts and peddlers in his car only and later release them after striking deal with the trapped youth", said sources. Sources questioned that how low rung employees can do such big games without shelter from seniors. |
