Early Times Report
Anantnag, Jan 23: Son of an influential revenue officer, who got selected as Physical Teacher under Rehbar-e-Khel recruitment scheme, has submitted a fake certificate to get the job.
This deception was unearthed by Revenue Department itself after the authorities cancelled the Permanent Resident Certificate issued in favour of the beneficiary.
As per details, Tehsildar Dooru Shahabad has issued a bonafide certificate in favour of Syed Mudasir Ahmad s/o Syed Fayaz Ahmad R/o Kapran AP Anchidora Anantnag on 08-01-2018 declaring that the above mentioned person was a resident of Kaparan Dooru.
Few days later, On 24th of Jan 2018, Tehsildar Dooru cancelled the Present Permanent Resident Certificate issued in favor of Syed Mudasir (beneficiary) by stating that the Condidate was living in Anchidora Anantnag from last 20 years and not in Kapran Dooru.
A copy of cancellation order has been sent to Deputy Commissioner Anantnag for information and District Sports officer Anantnag.
As per norms, condidates residing in their respective zones were only eligible to apply for the post of Rehber-e-Khel Teacher. Despite official intimation, recruitment committee went ahead and selected revenue officer's son.
A group of aspirants alleged that revenue officer got the certificate issued in favour of his son by misusing his position and the issue merits a high level probe.
"His (Condidate's) father is also a Tehsildar. He used his powers and got an incorrect certificate issued in favour of his son. This family is living in Anchidora Anantnag From last 20 years" they said while demanding a probe.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohd Younis Malik when contacted assured that he will look into the issue.
"I will probe it," DC Anantnag said. He so far has issued sleection list of six zones of Anantnag district while as the selection list of six other zones hasn't been made public yet.
