| Sahitya Akademi organizes Symposium, Kavi Sandhi | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 23: Sahitya Akademi New Delhi organized a daylong symposium on the topic of Style and Matter of Dogri Gazal with reference to Urdu Gazal at Jammu on Wednesday. The event was organized by Darshan Darshi, a Dogri literature of eminence and conveyor Dogri Advisory Board Sahitya, Akademi New Delhi. During the event, paper readers delved at length on the subject, followed by another prestigious programme of the Premier National Akademi of letters. I. D Soni delivered a highly thoughtful and illuminating speech on the status of Dogri language and literature in general and of Dogri gazal in particular. Further, he thanked the Sahitya Academy New Delhi and the conveyor Dogri for broad basing its arch by inviting educationists and language lover to such platform. During the event, two well critiqued papers were read by Col. Raj Manwari and Yash Raina. Jatinder Udhampuri, Dogri writer presided over the session where Ashok Amber read out his paper. Open house discussion was moderated by Prof. Shivdev Singh Manhas and concluding remarks were presented by Om Vidhyarti. The last programme of the event was Kavi Sandhi. Shived Sushil, a writer who has attempted almost all genres of Dogri literature, impressed the audience by his poetry. The event was attended by large numbers of writers, scholars and literature of Dogri, Punjaab and Hindi. |
