SRS slams reservation to Kashmiri Migrants
5/29/2019 9:16:03 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, May 29: Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Wednesday criticized Governor Administration for making amendments in J&K reservation rules to provide reservation benefits to Kashmiri Migrants under category of backward area, line of control and international border even if they are settled outside the state.
In a press statement issued here ,Shri Ram Sena J&K State President Rajiv Mahajan termed this order as totally prejudiced, unfair and devoid of logic, thus depriving the wards of real stake holder particularly the DPs of 1947 from POK who have been protesting holding national flag for their genuine rights for the last seventy years in J&K.
Mahajan further claimed that Advisors of Governor are definitely misguiding him and this recent order is testimony of this where genuine stake holders were ignored and more benefits were given to a community getting already much more from state and Union Govt. He further said that DPs of 1947 from POK are mostly settled in most backward areas in district Rajouri, Poonch, Jammu and Kathua and hence they deserve category of residing in backward areas but profusely ignored by Governor Administration who seems more inclined towards Kashmiri Migrant community and ignoring other migrant communities residing in state under difficult conditions. Mahajan expressed his disappointment that Governor has not used same yardstick for people who actually live in backward or on LOC or IB and they have not been given similar benefits like Kashmiri migrants. He asserted that DPs along with other people have been deprived of this benefit for none of their fault. He also slammed BJP leadership for not taking this issue seriously and raises their voice against this biased controversial order which has been issued without any logic against the deserving people. He also appealed to Governor to re-examine the issue and extend the benefit to the deserving people actually residing within the backward areas, LOC and IB.
