Migrants crave for basic facilities in Jammu camps | | | S.K. Kaw Early Times Report Jammu, May 29: Notwithstanding tall claims of providing all basic facilities to Kashmiri Pandit migrants living in various camps in Jammu, the migrants are facing unscheduled power cuts in scorching heat. They also complained of delay in disbursement of monthly cash assistance and ration. Lambasting the authorities Sunil Pandita said that the incumbent Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner seems to be least bothered about the problems of KPs who have been left in the lurch for one reason or the other. He said there were frequent and unscheduled power cuts in this scorching heat when day temperature has surged to 42 degrees Celsius in Jagti camp particularly where inhabitants were facing lots of problems as light remains off most of the time, he added. Sunil alleged that disbursement in monthly cash assistance and ration to relief holders has become a delayed affair for the last quite some time and community members at Jagti camp were taken for a ride who were probably children of lesser God ,he added |
