Spring Dales Kathua organizes workshop on Menstrual Hygeine | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 29: Spring Dales English School Changran, Kathua organized an innovative awareness workshop titled "Its time for Action" for girls of classes 7th to 12th on the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2019. The main objective of observing this day was to create awareness amongst female students and to remove the illusion that menstruation is inherently shameful or dirty which is created by the deep-rooted taboos and myths. Though no doubt, we live in a society where talking on such issues is a taboo. Then, where a girl will go? Whom would she speak to? How would she be able to walk confidently? These were the initial thoughts in the mind of the team which successfully conducted this innovative workshop. Pooja shared the purpose of conducting such workshop and gave important guidelines to the students. Palak spoke about myths and facts of Menstruation. Anita highlighted the importance of maintaining good hygiene. Arti spoke on physical changes in body. Shashi threw light on sensitive yet important topic "Good and Bad Touch". Dr Sachin Fotra, chief guest, answered the queries of the students promptly and appreciated the innovative approach of the school and the excellent response of the girl students. Usha Gupta, Principal applauded the team for taking such proactive action of conducting such a workshop. |
