JAMMU, Feb 10: The valedictory function of seven days NSS Annual Winter Camp was held at GDC for Women, Kathua today.
Dr. Y.P. Kundal, Principal of the College was the chief guest of the function and Prof. R.S. Jamwal, Principal, SPMR College, Jammu was the Guest of Honour.
The program began with lamp lightening and recitation of NSS Song by the volunteers. Thereafter, Madhvi Parasher, NSS Program Officer, shared session-wise proceedings of each day. On the occasion , volunteers presented skit carrying message of hygiene and folk dances depicting Dogri, Kashmiri, Himachali ,Rajasthani ,Marathi cultures.
Prof. R.S. Jamwal appreciated efforts of volunteers at ground level in up-liftment of masses. He further urged upon volunteers for selfless community work to realise motto of NSS "Not me, but you" real aim of being NSS Volunteer and motivated volunteers for harbingers of social change. Six volunteers were felicitated for their active participation throughout the session.
Formal vote of thanks was presented by Skilva, NSS Volunteer of B.A. IV Sem and programme concluded with recitation of National Anthem. Tanvi of semester Vth conducted proceedings of the program.
