Senior Cong leader Saroori summoned by NIA for questioning | | | ASIF IQBAL NAIK

JAMMU, Feb 10: In a dramatic turn of events in ongoing probe into the killing of BJP State Secretary Anil Parihar and his brother Ajeet Parihar, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) who had taken over the probe into the killing summoned senior Congress leader and former R&B Minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori to appear before the NIA at 11 am tomorrow. As per the details available with Early Times, the summon was issued to Saroori by the Investigation of the Case Sanjay Nagpal on 29-12-2019 which got leaked today in the public domain. "It is requested to direct the concern official to serve the notice u/s 160 Cr.Pc issued to Me. G M Saroori (Ex MLA) Son of Saidullah Saroori Resident of Saroori Mohallah, Near Main Bus Stand Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir for his appearance at NIA Branch Office Jammu at 11 AM on 11-2-2020 for the purpose of answering certain questions relating to the NIA case RC-36/2018/NIA/DLI" read the summoned address to SSP Kishtwar. Saroori resident situated in Ward No. 13 of Kishtwar Municipal Counsel is guarded by the CRPF 24X7. Despite repeated attempts, Saroori could not be reached out for his comments, however one of the Saroori relatives termed the summon as political vendetta adding that the allegations leveled against Saroori and his brother are false and fabricated. Besides Saroori, Javed Wani father of slain Hizb Commander Osama Javed, Talib Hussain Resident of Hunjala, Sajjad Hussain Butt Resident of Poochal , Nisar Rather (Already in Jail) and Syed Ahmer Jibran was also summoned by the NIA with regard to the investigation in Parihar brothers and for providing logistic support to Hizb Commander Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jahinger Saroori. It is pertinent to mention that the three militants Viz Osama Javed and Zahid Hussain Sagar along with other militant was killed in an encounter with security forces at Batote last year while another Militant Haroon Abbas Wani got killed in an encounter with Doda Police last month. |
