DHS offers 100% free tuition for valley students | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Feb 10: Dalhousie Hilltop School (DHS) announced the success of their Kashmiri students in winning International and National rankings in a global Olympiad. Fazil Abdullah, Touqeer Manzoor, Ifrat Arsheed and Sahila Mushtaq are amongst the students who secured these ranks. Fazil has secured first position worldwide and will receive an award of Rs. 50,000 for his achievement. “This is a great victory for our students from the valley as success breeds success, and these students have the full promise to be the leaders of our tomorrow” said Dhawan. “We are so proud of our Kashmiri children for bringing such laurels to our school and our state”. A press conference was held at the Press Club where Poonam Dhawan, President, Dalhousie Hilltop School, discussed the challenges faced by the children and her commitment to offer assistance and provide the best education available to the students from Srinagar. Dhawan has her roots in Srinagar and personally travels here every year to select the students from Srinagar. The school also announced special programs for the students of the Srinagar valley today. Dalhousie Hilltop School is offering 100% free tuition for KG to 5th grades for all students from the valley. For students in classes 6th through 8th the entire tuition fee is waived if the students have garnered above 80% in the previous report card. |
