| NSF holds protest against private practice of govt doctors | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 10: The National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged protest demonstration against private practice of doctors working in government hospitals and Medical Colleges and demanded from the UT administration to impose blanket ban on it. The NSF cadre comprising of youth activists from different higher educational institutions gathered outside main gate of Jammu University (JU) and raised slogans against the UT administration for not taking any steps to streamline the health services. Dr Vikas Sharma, State president blamed the doctors for creating mess in Health and Medical Education Department and minting huge amount of money by fleecing the gullible poor patient and earning bad name for their department. "The doctors are busy in their private practice during the duty hours and insisting the patients to visit their private clinics for treatment which is causing hardships to the poor people," he said. |
