Model Academy Accords Farewell to Class 12th

JAMMU, Feb 10: Model Academy bid adieu to the students of class 12th Batch in the school premises today. Bidding farewell with great pomp and show has been a tradition of the school which students store in their memory forever. Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER was the chief guest, while Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Joint Director MIER was the Guest of Honour. Others dignitaries present were Mr. P.K. Srivastava, Principal, Mr.J.K. Dhiman, Vice-Principal, Ms. Ruchi Sharma Quality Assurance Office, Manager Academics and Conveners of various committees.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by the Vice Head Girl Praverti Dhar, followed by scintillating dance performance and melodious songs by the students. The outgoing students delivered speeches expressing gratitude to their mentors and teachers for their invaluable contribution in making the journey a memorable one.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Director blessed the students and extended his Good wishes to them for a bright, successful and prosperous future. He further said that the students well now become part of the 50,000 alumni of the institution and hoped that they will make their family, school and nation proud. Mrs. Rupa Gupta blessed the students and advised them to be focussed and put in their best efforts to excel in the board examination. She wished them good luck to make a mark in the world outside, carrying forth the school motto of 'Shrestha'. Principal, Mr.P.K. Srivastava advised the outgoing students to be meticulous while attempting their board examination. The much awaited event of the day was the presentation of award of Mr & Miss Modelite through a well laid personality contest which was judged by Mrs. Arti Khajuria and Mrs. Pooja Mishra. The titles of Mr. Modelite and Miss Modelite were bagged by Mr.Achyut Mengi and Ms. Akshita Sharma.
The winners in other categories were honoured with appreciation certificates and mementos. The programme was co-ordinated by Mrs. Manju Vali, convener co-curricular committee.
