Katra, Apr 18: The annual cultural and sports festival of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University "Resurgence" was inaugurated today in Matrika Auditorium of the University.
R. K. Gupta, Principal Secretary to Governor of J&K was the Chief Guest.
Ajay Khajuria, Registrar of the University, Yugal Khajuria, Dean of Students were present in the function. Dr. A. K. Das, coordinator of Resurgence delivered the welcome address.
Registrar gave his best wishes to the participating students and Chief Guest Gupta encouraged students to participate in cultural activities and interacted with them after the inaugural function.
This year more than 20 cultural events are going to be organized in the festival for which several teams from different parts are coming to participate in the program.
