Syed Tahir Bukhari BARAMULLA, Apr 18: Ten candidates have filed their nomination papers for Baramulla parliamentary constituency. Three are from Independent and two from PC and one each from PDP, BJP, BSP and JKNPP and one from NC-Congress alliance.While AIP candidate Engineer Rashid will file its Nomination papers on Apr 19. Former Deputy Chief Minister and Present MLA Baramulla, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh on Friday submitted his Nominations Papers. Muzaffar Baigh has mentioned his movable property worth crores of rupees in his affidavits. He mentioned total current market value of all movable assets worth Rs 3,57,07183 which include Bank savings, Rs 1.5 lakh as cash in hand, city Honda Rs 2 Lakh, Shahtosh and Pashmina shawl's worth Rs 8 lakh in self category , while spouse's jewelry worth Rs 50 Lakh and shawls worth Rs 5 Lakh. His approximate current market rate of immovable property is worth Rs 16.46 crores including agricultural and non agricultural land on the name of his spouse and two dependents, gifted Commercial apartment at Rajbag worth Rs 50 lakh on self. Baigh also has liability of rupees 11,401,285 against the Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR's) Bank account. Besides Beigh, two more submitted their nominations on Friday. They are Mohammad Shafi Bhat son of Mohammad Abdullah of Sari Warpora, Pattan. He is associated with BSP. While another Abdul Majeed Malik son of Ghulam Qadir of Maidan Chogal Handwara filed his nomination as an independent candidate. Meanwhile, due to incessant rains from last three days, Awami Itehad Party nominated candidate Engineer Rashid exercised his efforts despite heavy rains, to reach out to the maximum number of people of Wagoora Thesil and its adjoining areas for votes in district Baramulla.
