Party not ready to accept Azad wave in mountainous region | BJP plunges into confusion due to high polling | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Apr 18: State unit of BJP has plunged into "confused situation" due to bumper voting on the Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary segment where polling was held on April 17. A group of BJP leaders have been claiming that party is going to win election from this prestigious segment while as party candidate Dr Jitendra Singh Rana has alleged "rigging" in the higher reaches of Reasi, Doda and Kishtwar districts, which are poised to give good number of votes in favour of Congress. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad is Congress candidate from this seat. On the one hand, BJP is delighted over nearly 75 percent polling in Kathua district where party is going to get number of votes. Party is claiming that it was result of the Modi wave that such a large number of people had come out to cast their votes. But party is finding it difficult to digest nearly 80 percent polling in Reasi district which is bastion of Congress party. BJP candidate Dr Jitendra Singh Rana alleged that it was result of the rigging that 80 percent voting has been registered in Reasi district and good number of people came out to cast their votes in favour of Ghulam Nabi Azad. BJP candidate is alleging rigging while as his party leadership in Jammu claimed that they are going to win election by a huge margin of nearly one lakh votes. On the one hand BJP leaders are claiming that there is Modi Wave in plains but they are not ready to accept that there was Azad wave in mountainous region. According to BJP leaders high turn in plains was result of Modi Wave but high turn out in higher reaches was result of rigging. Reports from the Jammu said that senior BJP leaders have conveyed their high command that they are going to win this seat comfortably. |
