Jammu, July 23: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Jammu and Kashmir celebrated the 59th Foundation Day all over the state as demand's day of workers. According to press release, all Affiliated unions including Industrial workers, Angenwadi workers, un-organized sector workers, Public sector, Local bodies, co operative sector, Banking Industry and Govt employees almost in all the Distt Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur, Rajouri, Kisthwar and others held meeting of the workers at different places, distributed sweets among the workers and congratulated each others. The labour leaders while addressing the workers highlighted the demands of the workers, noble principals of B.M.S and trade union movements in India as well as International level for the welfare of workers. The B.M.S demanded to fix Rs 15000/-as minimum wages for the Industrial workers as well as Angenwadi workers and Helper and linked with price Index as the state Government failed to protect the low paid workers from the pressure of High prices of all commodities beside others. |
