Jammu, July 23: Continuing the campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections, JKNPP leaders led by Pushvinder Manhas Senior Vice-President Young Panthers accompanied by Atul Sudan (Provincial Secretary Young Panthers), Thakur Virender Singh (State President NPSU), Gourav Bhatia (Tehsil President Young Panthers) and others held extensive tour of Akhnoor constituency and tour culminated at Naiwala where they held meeting with the local people. During the meeting people of the area apprised JKNPP leaders of the problems faced by them. Bunty Kumar of Batla said that the people of Akhnoor have voted for every party but no one stood for their welfare after elections are over. He said that people have voted for Congress, NC, BJP continuously but no leaders of these parties paid heed towards the apathies of the people. Amit Kumar of Naiwala while appreciating the role of the leaders of JKNPP said that he personally known Pushvinder Manhas since more than 12 years. He said that as President JJSF, Pushvinder Manhas achieved number of milestones and had fought a lot of fights for the people of Jammu. He fought MBBS/BDS agitation in 1996, Prime Medical agitation, forced government to start evening colleges in 2000, forced Hr. Education Department to open admissions for girls in B.Com in SPMR college of Commerce, in Geology, Geography in GGM Science College and many more, he added. |
