Sikh community unhappy over ignoring youth leaders while announcing mandates, burns effigy of Azad, Soz | Guns trained against Congress High Command now | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 10: Sikh community members today openly castigated the Pradesh Congress for ignoring the youth leaders of Jammu and Kashmir while announcing mandates by the senior Congress leaders. They even burnt effigy of PCC Chief Saif-Ud-Din-Soz and RajyaSabha MP and former Minister for Health and Family Welfare GhulamNabi Azad here at press club Jammu. The protest was led by Puneet Singh who said that the ticket distribution process of the Party High Command was biased and in the favour of several bureaucrats as well as kiths and kins of tall leaders of party ignoring the contribution of some ground level youth leaders of Congress party. "The custom of hereditary distribution of tickets being launched and supported by SozAnd Azad has brought to the fore the hidden agenda of Congress party today", said Puneet. He said despite after doing injustice with the youth leaders of the party, Azad and Soz are still mum over their biased decisions. He said the reason behind these decisions is fear of creation of a second front in the party which may affect their status. Puneet further said that Congress stalwarts have played with the sentiments of Sikh community and youth in general and they have to face the consequences for such decisions. "Congress party has turned loyal to its wards who are new entrants to the political party ignoring the loyal congress workers and hence the party would be rejected while casting votes in the Legislative assembly elections", he said. He warned the party high command to revert back its mandate list and prepare fresh lists and include the youth who have left their career behind and have dedicated themselves to party and are favourites of common masses. |
