Is Soz sitting over his resignation letter? | Sharma stays away from civil secretariat | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 10: The fire brand Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma, who tendered his resignation from the state cabinet last month after NC ministers, according to him, "sabotaged" his move to regularize the daily wagers stayed away from the civil secretariat here on the first day of Durbar. When Chief Minister Omar Abdullah arrived here on the occasion of reopening of Durbar move offices he was greeted by his cabinet colleagues and senior bureaucrats. Among the notable absentee was the PHE Irrigation and Flood control Minister Sham Lal Sharma. Speculations were rife in the corridors of power about the factual status of resignation letter submitted by Sharma to JKPCC Chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz. It is not clear whether Soz is sitting over the resignation letter of the Congress minister or has already submitted the same to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his formal acceptance. Pertinently, Sharma had said that he had forwarded his resignation to JKPCC Chief as the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was out of country. Sharma had alleged that NC ministers Mohammad Akbar Lone, Abdul Rahim Rather and others had objected to his move to regularize the daily rated workers, mostly from Jammu region, following which he stepped down. |
