Alleged inflated Air fares: DB grants two weeks' time to file additional affidavit

Jammu, Nov 10 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Y V Sharma Ex-President Chamber of Commerce and Baldev Singh Advocate against the problems being faced by the common public because exorbitant air fares charged by the different airlines, Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan directed respondent to file the additional affidavits be filed within two weeks.
A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan observed that seeking respondent seeking adjournment on behalf of respondents that the additional affidavits have been sent for signatures on respective competent authorities which have not been received as yet, directed the additional affidavits be filed within two weeks and if the affidavits are not filed within the time given, then the matter shall be taken-up and adverse inference in accordance with law shall be drawn.
