Police reunites separated minors with their family

Kishtwar, Nov 10: Kishtwar police on Monday reunited two minor with family who got separated from their parents during Urs of Hazrat Shah Mohammad Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi (RTA) which commence at Kishtwar.
Sharing details of the events , DySP HQ Kishtwar Nazir Ahmed Ganie said that two minors identified namely as Mohammad Imran (5 yrs) s/o Abdul Gani of Gool and Bilal Ahmed (4 yrs) s/o Jaleel Ahmed Shah of Dool Kishtwar got separated from their respective families owing to the heavy crowd assembled at Kishtwar on the eve of Urs."Police personnel on duty noticed the two children wondering on the road side in panic and they acying swiftly brought the matter into the notice of SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani who was present inside camp Police Post Chowghan for the facilitating smooth pilgrimage, police officer said and added, "SHO Kishwtar directed the police personnel to take the custody of two minors so as to prevent them from falling into wrong hands viz beggars and etc." Thereafter using public address system, police accordingly made announcements and found the parents of minors. After proper verification; the duo was restored to family members in his presence of senior police officials. Local people have appreciated the promptness of Kishtwar police which reunited the minors with their families.
DB issues notices to DC Kishtwar, Ors in alleged bunglings in Saffron Mission

Jammu, Nov10 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Ravinder Shan and other regarding irregularities committed in the implementation of National Mission on Saffron and alleged huge amount have been misappropriated, Division Bench (DB) of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Saffron Development Officer of District Kishtwar and others besides directing them to file reply before next date of hearing. After hearing Adv Rajeshwari Katoch, the Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan observed the matter pertains to National Mission on Saffron Implementation Jammu Division during 2012-13 and according to the allegations made on behalf of farmers in the area of Kishtwar there are gross irregularities committed in the implementation of the programme, as result the benefit of programme has not reached to the farmers and thus issued notice to Saffron Development Officer of District Kishtwar, Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar and District Development Commission Kishtwar. Court also directed them to file reply before next date of hearing.
