Ten candidates in fray from Kishtwar, 12 left in Inderwal's final poll fray Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Nov 10: On the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers, only an independent candidate from 52-Inderwal constituency of Kishtwar District namely Lakhmi Chand withdrew his nomination leaving 12 candidates pitched in battle while there were ten candidates in the final poll fray from Kishtwar assembly constituency. As per the official details, ten candidates identified namely as Nek Ram Manhas of Congress, Des Raj Baghat of BSP, Ajaiz Hussain Naik of NCP, Jaswant Singh an Independent, Gulzar Ahmed an Independent, Sunil Kumar Sharma of BJP, Firdous Ahmed Tak of PDP, Mohammad Amin Butt of Janta Dal (Secular), Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo of National Conference (NC) and Farooq Ahmed Ahanger of JKPP remained in final poll fray from 51-Kishtwar Assembly segment, Whereas 12 candidates namely Ghulam Mohammad Saroori of Congress), Shanawaz Ahmed Ahanger of (JKPP) -Independent), Jyoti Prakash of BSP, Farooq Ahmed Keen an Independent, Jabar Singh Parihar an Independent, Tanveer Hussain Babzada (RKSP), Imtiyaz Ahmed (JKNPP), Abdul Majid Ganie an Independent, Salam Din of NC, Ashiq Hussain of KDF (Independent), Abdul Majid Butt (PDP) and Tariq Hussain Keen of BJP are left in final poll battle from 52-Inderwal. Official spokesperson said after last date of withdrawing of nomination papers, Returning Officer 51-Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik and Returning Officer 52-Inderwal Sudarshan Kumar Salaria issued final electoral list of the candidates contesting the elections from two constituencies of Kishtwar District. |
