Brits can't make sandwiches: Twitter users hilariously prove Daily Mail was right all along | | | Agencies
britain, Nov 10: This morning's Mail front page asked "Is there no one left in Britain who can make a sandwich?" It turns out the answer is no. On its front page this morning, the Daily Mail asked an important question: "Is there no one left in Britain who can make a sandwich ?" The people of Britain have spoken out in response to this challenge to their culinary skills, and their answer is ... no. No, there isn't. The story itself revolves around a supermarket supplier taking on 300 new staff from Hungary to work in their Northampton factory used to craft lunches for M&S and Tesco. It seems though that they aren't actually looking for people to make the sandwiches - they've advertised for machine setters, cleaners, porters and quality monitors. But nobody's paying much attention to the actual story, and instead are occupied with expressing their despair at British citizens inability to create even the most rudimentary lunch foods in what's become known as Sandwichgate. |
