Jammu, Nov 10 : Students of Government College of engineering and Technology, Chak Bhalwal under the banner of NSUI held a strong protest demonstration while condemning the negligence of college authorities in providing the basic amenities to the students of the campus. Leading the protest demonstration of around 600 students, Ajay Kumar, National Delegate, NSUI J&K first boycotted the classes and marched towards Press Club Jammu in the shape of a huge rally which even disturbed the vehicular moment on Jammu Akhnoor highway at the peak time of Jhiri Mela and also it was the opening of civil secretariat in Jammu. A scuffle broke out between students and police who tried to march towards Dogra Chowk to stop the vehicular traffic. Adressing the students, Ajay Kumar said that the genuine-cum-pending demands of students which include absence of faculty in college, SRTC bus facility to students, road connectivity, inter college sports events, library facility, ambulance, mess, nil placement, sports funds, internet connectivity, electricity curtailment, ATM machine installation, stationary shop should be solved as soon as possible. Prominent NSUI leaders present on the occasion were Kamal Magotra, NitinBakhshi, Rahul Pandit, Aazib Hamid, Arjun,Farhan, Gagan and many others. |
