NMC asks political parties to clear stand on regularization of casual workers 11/10/2014 11:44:56 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10 : Continuing to highlight the demands of casual/ daily rated workers, President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) SubashShastri today asked the mainstream political parties to clear their stands regarding regularization of the services of 62 thousand casual/seasonal laborers/adhoc and contractual employees of the state Govt so thet uncertainty and confusion among the daily rated workers could come to end. Addressing a largely attended rally of causal laborers here, Shastri demanded that these parties should in corporate their firm stand regarding the fate of these workers in their election manifesto as political commitment adding that if the particular party is sincere about the issue. He said the parties should make mention of this issue in their manifestoes as the issue will be a major political plank in the coming election of assembly polls. He and others speakers reiterated the demands of employees like-Release of pending installments of 17% DA due from January and July, strictly implementing CP Fund scheme, declaring 7th Pay Commission as a National Pay Commission and amending SRO 64 were other demands highlighted in the rally.
